Anyone who's read my TMNT work knows I kinda prefer my Turtles staying sorta shrouded when they're above ground. It makes more sense to me. You put them in loose fitting clothes they'd've found in donation bins, dumpsters, etc. and they have the perfect means of disguising themselves above ground, and can still fight.I know
preferred to draw the Turtles the classic way when we were working together, but I would always try to get in as much of this sort of stuff as possible. I don't think Peter Laird dug it either. I remember having drinks with Eric Talbot and a couple of other guys at Mirage (who dug the idea) but were surprised it flew.
